“Kids of Canoa”
Benefits all kids in the rural
and underserved communities
of the Canoa Heritage Area regardless of age, race,
or income levels.
The Kids of Canoa project serves our rural and isolated youth ages
16-24 in local tourism industry workforce development programs.
Leveraging resources within our service area, youth will experience a series of full day training sessions, once a week for ten weeks.
Our goal is to prepare 70 youth for a career in tourism, one of Arizona's largest industries, with a better understanding of the history and heritage of the area, including enhanced social and service skills.
Friends of Canoa Heritage Foundation is an all volunteer 501c3 organization. All donations stay in the communities of Canoa.
