HAPPENING NOW! MEET THE "LOCALS WHO KNOW!"
For over twelve years, we've introduced you to the natural wonders, history, heritage, culture, trails, events and adventures in the Canoa Heritage Area while documenting and preserving history in the making. It's been an amazing journey discovering and sharing with you!
MEET THE "LOCALS WHO KNOW" is a new video preservation project in progress! Our goal is to provide a venue for our local leaders to personally share with you what is unique about a visit to their community, and the best times & places to visit each community within the Canoa Heritage Area. (San Xavier-Wa:k, Pascua Yaqui-Yoeme Pueblo, Sahuarita, Green Valley, Amado, Arivaca, Tubac, Tumacácori, Rio Rico, Nogales, Sasabe, Three Points, Sells, and Topawa.)
Now it's time to introduce you to the locals! Big THANK YOU to Kevin May for donating his time and production skills in his free time as a filmmaker for Caterpillar, to give our locals the opportunity introduce themselves to you personally!
In our January 7, 2024 Shout-out the new leadership in Arivaca introduced you to special points of interest while visiting, and the best times to visit in eight short videos. The first Saturday of every month October - June are the best days to visit. Don't miss Arivaca Days the first Saturday in October!
Production of Tumacacori videos began February 10, 2024 when we had an unusual snowstorm! It was magical! These are the video's that have been finished, with more to come as they are complete. Here's what the locals want you to know!
We will be creating special video pages for each of the communities that we serve in the Canoa Heritage Area so you have easy access to connect before you visit. We're not the only entity who likes to share what's special about each of the communities we serve. If you have something special to share with our audience, please send us a link and we'll include it!
